After standing down due to tropical storm Bonnie, soldiers with the Louisiana Army National Guard’s 2225th Multi-Role Bridge Company, 205th Engineering Battalion perform preventive maintenance checks and service on their Improved Ribbon Bridges (IRB) to get them back up and running on July 27, 2010 in Grand Isle, La. An IRB is a modular, aluminum-alloy, and continuous floating bridge system being used to transport heavy machinery, supplies, personnel and contaminated waste to and from the islands along the Louisiana coast in support of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill cleanup efforts.
