Louisiana National Guard assist the Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry

CARVILLE, La. – Sgt. Dennis Ryan, a UH-60 Blackhawk mechanic with D Company, 1-244th Assault Helicopter Battalion, hooks two bales of hay to a UH-60 Blackhawk in Plaquemines Parish, Sept. 3. Since Hurricane Isaac operations began, more than 6,500 LANG Soldiers and Airmen have participated in more than 250 ground and air missions involving reconnaissance, search & rescue, engineer assessments, commodities distribution, road clearing and security.
