CARVILLE, La. – Kids anxiously await in a crowd of family and friends as Soldiers of the Louisiana National Guard’s 756th Area Support Medical Company arrive on busses at the Gillis W. Long Center in Carville, La., following a deployment overseas, July 4, 2013. Deployed to Afghanistan since September 2012, the unit supported six sites in the cities of Bagram and Kabul where they provided emergency medical, sick call, dental, ancillary and medevac services.
