Gov. Bobby Jindal honors Guard’s 1022nd Engineers

BATON ROUGE, La. – Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal honors members of the Louisiana National Guard’s 1022nd Engineer Company who are currently deployed to Afghanistan by flying a unit signed Engineer Flag over the Governor’s Mansion in Baton Rouge, La., Oct. 14, 2011. The primary missions during this deployment consist of constructing base camps, providing support to corps, division and maneuver brigade combat teams, and improving Soldier quality of life and basic security for various U.S. military installations across Afghanistan.
