159th Fighter Wing Celebrates it 2012 Award Receipents

NEW ORLEANS – Staff Sgt. Eric Brumfield, 122nd Air Operations Squadron, 159th Fighter Wing, was selected as the 2011 Airman of the Year and was presented his award by the adjutant general of the Louisiana National Guard, Brig. Gen. Glenn H. Curtis, commander of the 159th, Col. Roy Qualls, the senior enlisted advisor of the Louisiana National Guard, Command Sgt. Maj. Tommy Caillier and the senior enlisted advisor, Air, Chief Master Sgt. James Downing at the 2011 Louisiana Air National Guard’s Awards Banquet, May 19, 2012, held at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. Brumfield, a Bogalusa, La. native, distinguished himself through his flawless performance of his duties as a Joint Terminal Attack Controller in volunteer, back to back deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.
