159th Fighter Wing Celebrates it 2012 Award Receipents

NEW ORLEANS – Senior Master Sgt. Von Fish, 159th Maintenance Squadron, 159th Fighter Wing, was selected as 2011 Chief of the National Guard Bureau’s Outstanding Achievement Award in the Senior Non-Commissioned Category and was presented his award by the adjutant general of the Louisiana National Guard, Brig. Gen. Glenn H. Curtis, commander of the 159th, Col. Roy Qualls, the senior enlisted advisor of the Louisiana National Guard, Command Sgt. Maj. Tommy Caillier and the senior enlisted advisor, Air, Chief Master Sgt. James Downing at the 2011 Louisiana Air National Guard’s Awards Banquet, May 19, 2012, held at the National World War II Museum in New Orleans. Fish gained a critical understanding of parish needs with respect to Guard resources and equipment and personally advised the adjutant general in the advantageous use of Army floating bridges.
