CARVILLE, La. – A Louisiana National Guard Soldier with the 756th Area Support Medical Company is immediately embraced by a family member after arriving to the Gillis W. Long Center in Carville, La., following an overseas deployment, July 4, 2013. Deployed to Afghanistan since September 2012, the unit supported six sites in the cities of Bagram and Kabul where they provided emergency medical, sick call, dental, ancillary and medevac services.
