Air National Guard Deployment Ceremony

NEW ORLEANS – Approximately 100 deploying Airman from the Louisiana Air National Guard’s 159th Fighter Wing, based out of Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base New Orleans in Belle Chasse, were honored before friends and family members during a ceremony, Dec. 19.

Airmen from Air Guard units located throughout the state are scheduled to deploy in early 2019 to various locations supporting several different operations. The majority of the Airmen will be deploying in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Spartan Shield in locations ranging from Qatar, Iraq, Afghanistan, Jordan, Kuwait and Germany.
