Camp Minden breaks ground on new center

Command Sgt. Maj. Tommy Caillier, the Louisiana National Guard’s state senior enlisted advisor, along with representatives of Alliance, Inc. and Walton Construction, awaits the signal to wield his shovel at the ground-breaking ceremony for the new Armed Forces Reserve Center being built at Camp Minden Sept. 7. The AFRC will cost $19 million and is scheduled to open in March 2013.
