                                                                                Mission

The Integrated Primary Prevention Workforce provides the Senior Commander with the ability to focus entirely on the prevention of violence within the State of Louisiana’s Joint Force to protect and address the needs of our Service Members, support personnel, and their families.

Purpose

To supplement the Louisiana National Guard’s crisis response programs with a dedicated team that takes a proactive, comprehensive, and public health-based approach in identifying and circumventing the risk factors that lead to harmful behaviors such as: Self Directed Harm, Family Violence, Workplace Violence, and Sexual Violence.

Objective
  • Examine, develop, and recommend research-based training, policy, and program changes that proactively target violence trends.
  • Refine LANG’s quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis practices in order to enhance prevention efforts.
  • Facilitate collaboration and synchronization between the various risk reduction personnel’s focus areas.
  • Continuously develop and impart violence prevention knowledge through attending and contributing to continued education training opportunities.
  • Carry out our mission while maintaining the DoD Core Values: Leadership, Professionalism, and Technical Knowledge.
