La. Guard to host 5K for suicide awareness month

NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana National Guard’s Resilience, Risk Reduction and Suicide Prevention Program, in partnership with the LANG Enlisted Association, Louisiana Work for Warriors and the Louisiana Red Cross Service to Armed Forces, is scheduled to host their Fearless 5K and wellness expo in recognition of Suicide Prevention Month, Sept. 18 at 9 a.m. at Jackson Barracks, 6400 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans, Louisiana, 70117.
The event is open to all ages and to the public and can be done in-person or virtually. The cost to participate is $20, and the event is free to current service members.
Race check-in is from 7:15 a.m. through 8:30 a.m., and a warmup is for 8:30 through 8:40.
