PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – Soldiers from a Louisiana National Guard military engagement team to Haiti visited children at the Sant Mete Men Pou Defann Dwa Timoun (SMDT) Orphanage in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, May 18, 2013.
The Guardsmen donated toys, candy, clothing and other various supplies to assist the orphanage with some of their needs.
The LANG’s MET is on a four-week mission to train members of the Haiti National System of Risk and Disaster Management on emergency operations center procedures, communication management, logistics and disaster relief warehouse management and disaster exercise simulations.
