
Command Chief Master Sergeant Michael D. Schehr
Command Chief Master Sergeant Michael D. Schehr is the Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Louisiana Air National Guard, Joint Force Headquarters, Jackson Barracks, New Orleans Louisiana. He is the nineth State Command Chief Master Sergeant to represent the Airmen of the State of Louisiana. Chief Schehr advises The Adjutant General, Commander of the Air National Guard and staff on all matters influencing misson readiness, professional development, proper utilization, health, morale and welfare of the State`s enlisted Airmen and their families. Additonally, he disseminates the commander`s policies to the levels of senior officers and enlisted leaders.
Chief Schehr enlisted in the Louisiana Air National Guard in September of 1985. He graduated from Basic Military Training and completed Pneudraulic technical training at Chanute Air Force Base, Illinois in April of 1986. Chief Schehr`s background consists of various duties within the Aircraft Maintenance Systems career field which includes experience on two weapons systems: the F-4C Phantom II and the F-15A-D Eagle. His assignments have included Pneudraulics System Mechanic, Aerospace Repair NCOIC, Pneudraulics System NCOIC, Maintenance Accessories Section Supervisor, Maintenance Squadron Component Repair Branch Chief, Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Branch Chief, Quality Assurance Superintendent, Maintenace Group Chief and Fighter Wing Command Chief.
Chief Schehr has deployed to numerous locations in support of Operation NORTHERN WATCH Turkey, Operation SOUTHERN WATCH Saudi Arabia, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Israel, Panama, Hungry, THEATER SECURITY PACKAGE Netherlands-Bulgaria and THEATER SECURITY PACKAGE Japan-Guam.
