La. Guard surpress fire, ends mission

CADDO PARISH – A Louisiana Army National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk dumps water on a hot spot outside Shreveport, La., in Caddo Parish, Sept. 6, 2011. The LANG pilots worked in a racetrack pattern to dump water on the hot spots in the vicinity of Highway 1 and 528 using helibuckets —large buckets carrying water suspended by cable—to assist the Department of Agriculture and Forestry with the suppression of the wild fires.
