La. Guard engineers set to deploy

GONZALES, La. – Friends and family members gathered to say farewell to Soldiers from the Louisiana National Guard’s 922nd Horizontal Engineer Company during a deployment ceremony held at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, La., Jan. 31. More than 150 Soldiers from the 922nd, based out of Gonzales, will conduct a 365-day deployment to Kuwait to utilize their expertise and versatility to provide command and control of engineer construction operations in the Kuwait Theater of Operations.
